The Love of God — Gift of The Son

The Love of God — Gift of The Son

1 John 4:9-11 (NKJV):

9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

The love of God is greater far than tongue or pen could ever tell! When I make an attempt to grasp the love of God, I am always at a loss for words. In the midst of all the tragedies and problems we face in the world, we are shown the most powerful love that will ever be displayed.

God loves His creation. How much His heart must be broken when those whom he gave the breath of life choose not abide in Him. God has been patient, forgiving, jealous, wrathful, and just with us that are created in His likeness. All of it has been done with a love deeper than we can comprehend.

The greatest act of love was displayed on the cross, in the death of Jesus. The cross is a symbol of pain, suffering, and anguish. The cross is an ugly thing, but the gift that came through that agonizing death is what gives us a life worth living. A life in Christ.

Jesus Christ is the Messiah, our Redeemer, our Sustainer, our Savior, our Advocate, and our Mediator! Jesus the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

Jesus is our only hope. We have hope because He shed His blood, which makes atonement for our sins. We must do the things that He says if we wish to come into contact with that soul saving blood!

We must obey the gospel and live a life in total submission to Him. Would you like to do that? Would you like to have your sins forgiven? Would you like to live the best life? There’s only one way — JESUS!
